I can hardly believe this site has housed the inner workings of my mind for almost 14 years.

I stopped writing in 2011; I find myself once again in need of letting the words slip out of my mind and into the blank page and while it would make sense to start afresh in a different site I'm choosing to come back here.

So, without further ado...

I've written and rewritten this post several times in my head, but not until today did I actually manage to login to LJ and really *write* it. Has it ever happened to you that your attempts at supportiveness not only fail, but get turned against you?

( Very long, very boring and almost certainly quite emo ramble under the cut )

I received yesterday a note from my son's school, enquiring whether we would like him to return next year to the school and (more to the point of the note) in case we did, requesting the payment of x amount of money as an enrollment fee.

As I was reading the note, it hit me. ( And you got all that from a piece of paper???!! )

Saturday morning has always been a tricky spot for yours truly. The fact that the routine is over for me (the work-kids-house routine, anyway) but not for others whom I interact with often makes for really dreadful spaces of time where I do very little except wait for stuff to happen.
